Most weight-loss advice written for Indian women is written for somebody else and translated badly. It assumes a kitchen that does not exist, a schedule with no children in it, and a body that stopped changing at 25.
This is where we keep every question we have answered, sorted by the kind of question it is. Each section below has its own page.
The sections
-
Indian diet for weight loss
What is actually on the plate — poha, rice, curd, paneer, dal. -
How to reduce belly fat
Including the part where spot reduction is not a real thing. -
Exercise for weight loss
Walking, yoga, lifting, and what each one actually does. -
PCOS, thyroid and weight
When the effort is going in and the body is working against it.
How these posts are made
We find a question Indian women are actually searching for, then find a qualified professional — a registered dietitian, a certified coach, a doctor — who has answered it publicly on Instagram. We embed their post in full, credit them, and report what they said. Dhamkee is an apparel brand, not a medical or nutrition practice, and nothing here is medical advice. More about how we work.
